The Legacy Program |
|
Henderson County Performing Arts Center is committed to a capital campaign to ensure the future of theatre in our region. The Legacy Program will enlist the support of our patrons, civic organizations, schools, families and ARTS supporters who understand the part arts organizations play in a community’s overall quality of living. HCPAC plays a vital role in creating future arts supporters and audiences by making theatre available and accessible to the entire community. We welcome all who wish to participate and offer opportunities that do not exist elsewhere. Over 46 years of operation, thousands of people have participated in and supported our programs. For our young actors the impact has been transformational. They have found a safe haven in HCPAC to explore themselves in a very creative medium.
As the theatre approaches its 50th Anniversary of implementing its mission to entertain, to educate and to change lives, it reaches out to all of you to provide your own legacy for our future generations. We have an opportunity to make sure the performing arts are present and thriving in the next 50 years.
Please find more information about the campaign as you read messages on the inside from YES! Company Alum, Kaci Koviak, who is serving as the Legacy Campaign Chairman and from Jeff Weinstein, who serves as the campaign’s major donor program.
And call the theatre, 903-675-3908, to make your pledge today. |

A Message from Kaci Koviak and Jeff Weinstein |

Dear Friends,
For almost 50 years the Henderson County Performing Arts Center has immeasurably enriched our community by presenting the finest shows, musicals and actors in the East Texas region. There is no other community of our size that offers such quality and range of performers on its stages. HCPAC’s annual seasons of superb live theatre have become an indelible part of our region’s cultural life.
But gone are the days when an organization like HCPAC can survive from season to season solely on ticket sales and annual contributions. In today’s world, endowment reserves are required to meet steadily rising production costs and funds to sustain HCPAC’s outstanding and award-winning education programs. That is why we have initiated the Legacy Program that will insure that our theatre will be alive and thriving in the years to come.
As you remember, the campaign kicked off at the annual Fund Raiser last April. Since that time, through the generosity of donors, we have received pledges of $125,000 toward our final goal in 2014 of $500,000. Reaching this goal by the end of 2014 will help us kick off our 50th Anniversary and keep our legacy going strong into the next 50 years.
Exciting things are happening at HCPAC. Many have said there’s a momentum that can be felt by everyone who comes into contact with the theatre. From our new building, to education programs, to increased subscriptions, HCPAC has become an organization that radiates energy and opportunity for the future. The expectations are high as we move fast toward the future. Maintaining an energy of this magnitude requires your support. Through the Legacy Campaign we have developed a giving program that encompasses four years. Your support over that period will provide the impetus that will propel us to our goal of $500,000.00 by the end of 2014.
Subscribers, friends, YES! Company Alumni, community leaders—we are asking you to support this campaign to ensure the legacy of “the best in live theatre” in our area for generations to come. Contact Dennis Gilmore at the theatre at 903-675-3908 to discuss your “legacy commitment.” Making a commitment over a four year period makes your donation affordable and sustains the campaign through the conclusion of the 2014 season.
We urge you to contribute to the HCPAC Legacy Campaign and thank you, in advance, for your generosity. |

The vitality of a city is determined by its cultural resources. HCPAC strives for excellence in this area and depends on support from the community to achieve it.
Since its inception in 1964, our name has become synonymous with artistic excellence. The theatre’s commitment to producing high quality productions is evidenced in the fabulous sets, costumes and imaginative interpretations of great plays, through the development of new works and through the commitment to arts education for the young people of our community.
However, what you may not know is that ticket sales cover only 30% of the cost of our productions, education and operating costs. The only way we can bridge the gap is trough special events and donations from contributors, businesses and organizations.
Your reasons for giving to the theatre may be as varied as how you would like to make your donation. That is why we offer a variety of ways to support our programs.
There are a number of ways you can support the theatre this year, each yielding special privileges. Every gift makes a difference. We are at your service to answer questions at the number listed below. Watch this web site as we continue to add information about our annual fund, partners program, corporate support, friend of the theatre program, memorials, take your seat program and others.
To learn more about the many privileges of giving, please call Dennis Gilmore at 903-675-3908, ext. 203. |
